Founded in 1979 in Dry Creek Valley’s Wine Creek Canyon, Michel-Schlumberger enjoys a well-earned reputation for exceptional small-lot bottlings of Bordeaux varietals. Built in the style of the California missions, the elegant winery features white stucco walls, red clay roof tiles, a bell tower, and tranquil courtyard under the eye of a Moorish window. In 1993, Jacques Schlumberger took the reins as majority partner and president and undertook a major revitalization of the vineyards and winemaking facilities. Dedication to stewardship of the land is evident in every aspect of the estate. Currently in its third year of CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) certification, the winery has also been awarded the California Fish Friendly Farming Certification.
