I have been a ZAP member for many years, but never attended the Flights program and have stayed away from the Grand Tasting due to the simple fact that it's far too much at one time. After all, once you've tasted 12 or 15 Zins, your palate even with cleansing it with water begins to grow numb, LOL. The crowds aren't what I enjoy either. Regardless, I'm still a passionate Zin Advocate though my tastes are for the older CA style.. Extracted, big, alcoholic and jammy.. I tend to like them more from Amador, Lodi and Paso Robles, though I've had some older vintages from Dry Creek that were great and Pezzi King is one of my fav Dry Creek Zin wineries!
