Glad you enjoyed your time. Our growers are really special people. Next time you're in the area, let me know. Maybe we can go tour the Bernier Sibary vineyard or the Maple Vineyard. I've been to each dozens of times but still come away with more and more knowledge every visit.

Cheers,

Debra

True....I think it's quite hard for mere mortals to really taste and feel the difference between 95 and 100. Personally, I think if you are looking at drinking something "today" versus 10 years from now is really the driving force in selecting super high rated scores (96+).

Thank you for the kind words and high praise. As you can tell, we love what we do and we do it with style and panache. We are blessed to have an amazing vineyard crew, talented winemaker, and fun staff. Come back again and take one of our estate tours or one of our wine and cheese pairings. This is truly a marvelous all organic wine estate. And like we say, there is no place on earth like Michel-Schlumberger. Oh, and check out our YouTube channel for a little more flavor of what we do.

Interesting comments Haydn. I have been a ZAP member for many years, but never attended the Flights program and have stayed away from the Grand Tasting due to the simple fact that it's far too much at one time. After all, once you've tasted 12 or 15 Zins, your palate even with cleansing it with water begins to grow numb, LOL. The crowds aren't what I enjoy either.

Regardless, I'm still a passionate Zin Advocate though my tastes are for the older CA style.. Extracted, big, alcoholic and jammy.. I tend to like them more from Amador, Lodi and Paso Robles, though I've had some older vintages from Dry Creek that were great and Pezzi King is one of my fav Dry Creek Zin wineries!
